One Week In

One week ago, I ran my first demo. Two Thermomix® machines are now on their way to new kitchens.

My first demo ran on a Sunday afternoon, over video call, to a small group who gave me their time when they didn't have to. It was virtual, so nobody could smell or taste anything. I described everything as it happened: the sound of it milling, a sauce coming together, the small moments that usually sell themselves. Someone from that demo is getting a Thermomix® of their own. A second demo followed the next day, and by the end of the week I'd made two sales. The guests who joined me made the difference. They asked questions, laughed with me, and trusted me with something new.

I'm still finding my feet with Zoom and social media, and there's a lot I'm learning as I go. In between the two demos, I went live on Facebook for the first time. I usually shy away from being on camera, so that pushed me further outside my comfort zone than either demo did. But my team leader and the consultants in my branch made sure I never felt like I was doing this alone.

In the same week as those two demos, I built this website. It gave Find Your Way Home a proper home online, a booking page that connects straight through so nothing gets lost, and a visual identity that matches the business I'm building. None of it was required. I built it anyway, late at night and in the gaps between everything else, because I want this to feel real from day one.

I also earned a trolley case this week, for making a sale inside my first thirty days. That came with a ticket to Colleen Callander's Power of Confidence webinar, which I can't wait for. My second sale earned me a Kobold mini vac.

There's a lot ahead of me: more demos, more learning. Thank you to everyone who gave this first week a chance, in a kitchen, on a call, or by reading this far. If you'd like to see a Thermomix® demo for yourself, virtual or in person, I'd love to show you.
