I'm Elaura, and I'm currently completing my practical training to become a certified Thermomix® Consultant. I didn't want to wait until that's finished to open the doors here — the whole reason I do this work is to take something that feels complicated and make it simple, welcoming, and genuinely doable. That's the spirit I want this site to have too, right from day one.
I never thought I'd become a Thermomix® Consultant. I've always been wary of hype, and skipped every demo I was invited to — until I said yes to one, mostly to be sociable. A guest raving about the hollandaise sauce was all it took. When my Thermomix® arrived, my husband made hollandaise before I'd even had the chance to read the manual. It was perfect.
So far, training has meant a lot of hours with the Mix Academy — New Consultant training, understanding the customer journey, getting to know Cookidoo® inside and out (including food safety and allergies), marketing, and all the consultant perks and host rewards. But more than anything, it's been about really understanding the do's and don'ts of representing Thermomix® well.
I've loved getting hands-on with the accessories — most of them, anyway. A couple I'll admit still need a bit more practice before I'd call myself confident with them.
So, what to expect here as this grows: recipes I've actually cooked and can vouch for, tips for getting the most from a Thermomix® in plain language, an honest look at my training journey — wins and wobbles both — the people and moments that make this work meaningful, and video eventually, once I've got some filming underway.
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
The first Recipes & Tips post lands 21 August — an Excellence-pillar, before & after reveal.
The first video will live here once it's ready — tied to the September launch.
I'm based in the Western Downs & Toowoomba region for in-person visits, with virtual consults available anywhere in Australia. Demos booked now will land after my official start date.
